What exactly is a Tintype Portrait? And how is it different than a personal portrait session?
Tintype Portraits are unique, handmade, one-of-a-kind portraits. This unique process starts with a quick chat about your vision for your Tintype image. What overall look are you going for? Want to re-create a family wedding image from 80 years ago? Your vision for this portrait will determine your outfit, hair and makeup, and our pose we use for your final image. Tintypes are created with ONE SHOT from the camera, for which you need to remain very still. Unlike a digital portrait session, this is a one-image process.
The real magic happens after your image is taken, when they are developed.
Personal Portrait Sessions are your typical, multi-shot, portrait session. Still capturing a unique look and fulfilling your vision for your portrait, we work together to ensure you have an amazing experience.
